The Jr. Sales Associate will help build the future of Entrust Energy!


Responsibilities include:

1. Achieve revenue, sales, and broker agreement growth according to the business plan.

2. Manage multiple client partnerships.

3. Implement measuring/monitoring tools that track daily, weekly, monthly, and annual performance.

4. Work directly with Director, Indirect Sales Managers, and lead the training/support of accounts.

5. Other tasks as assigned.


Pay during 10-12 week intern period $15-16/hr, salary afterwards $50k + commissions. Two weeks paid vacation and more benefits upon conversion!

Be part of a team environment and make an impact within the company by generating sales leads for the company by researching markets, seeking referrals/opportunities, and setting appointments for Field Representatives with potential new business.


  1. Identify 5 new opportunities per month to territory pipelines
    1. Perform analytics in Salesforce to develop target list of customers and new potentials
    2. Conduct 20-40 outbound calls a day to identify new opportunities
    3. Research strategic markets
  2. Support the Sales Team
    1. Provide sales support to the design team by being an interface to the customer
    2. Work with the accounting group to provide special pricing and quotes to our reseller partners such as CDW, PC Connection, WB Mason, CSM, etc.
    3. Assist with quoting LTC customers
    4. Handle all facets of the sales process for small opportunities
    5. Assist with Salesforce documentation and analytics
    6. Support field representatives by setting appointments and finding additional customers to visit
  3. Support designated reseller partners
    1. Coordinate Proximity activities to support our reseller partners such as design, quote and marketing activities
    2. Assist in maintaining and enhancing relationships with reseller representatives
  4. Participate in customer site visits, trade shows, and industry networking events
    1. Attend tradeshows to identify new opportunities and customer target
    2. Develop and enhance relationships with customers through face to face meetings
    3. Develop industry and competitive knowledge through industry events
    4.  Continue to develop business acumen and sales skills

We are looking for a sales minded candidate that wants to help build the future of Entrust Energy.  The Commercial – Junior Indirect Sales Representative will be a member of the Sales team and focus their efforts on incrementally growing the overall Indirect Sales Channel program for the West.



In this role, the Commercial – Junior Indirect Sales Representative candidate will be challenged to:


  • Achieve revenue, sales and broker agreement growth as per the business plan and assigned goals for the West.
  • Develop appropriate account management, strategic alliances, and business acumen relative to both internal and external business relationships.
  • Primary accountability for the performance of Business Partners with relationship control located in assigned geographic markets.
  • Implement measuring and monitoring tools that track daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities for Channel Partners; effectively grow account base and recruit new Channel Partners.
  • Act as the first level of negotiation and approval in the Sales and broker Agreement process and manage internal margin expectations as per the business plan and assigned goals.
  • Sales process includes driving sales using appropriate pricing tools, obtaining needed usage information, preparing offers, negotiating and closing of deals within an acceptable time frame, obtaining authorization on contracts, and other required documentation, and acting as a liaison between operations and the Channel Partner/customer as needed.
  • Manage multiple Channel Partner relationships and develop solid relationships with new, emerging partners. Primary contact with Channel Partners will be though phone contact with face to face meetings occasionally.
  • Upon reviewing each markets forecasts and sales activity reports, provide timely feedback to the Director as well as the Sales Managers, ensuring that each market’s monthly sales goals are achieved and being reviewed and discussed.
  • Work with each market’s Channel Partner’s field office to gain a thorough understanding of best practices, obstacles, and needs of our Channel Partners, ensuring that the Indirect Sales Channel Program is competitive and successful in the marketplace.
  • Work directly with the Director, Indirect Sales Managers, as well as lead the training, proper implementation, and local support of these accounts.
  • Act as the Area point of contact for all sales and marketing issues, and as a liaison between the field and HQ Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Provide input to Corporate on the current and future development of tools that promote and drive sales, as well as, participate on HQ task force teams formed to address specific operational, financial, legal, and support issues impacting Indirect Channel sales and marketing.



  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • No energy industry experience is required
  • Recent college graduate with emphasis in business and or psychology.
