QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree preferred, minimum of 1+ years professional or relevant internship experience required.
  • Series 7 & 63/65 or 66 registration preferred; if hired without licenses, depending on the needs of the business, you may be required to obtain registrations.
  • Knowledge of investment and banking products, policies, & procedures is required.
  • Strong client service & technical skills (MS Word & Excel).
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills are required.

HOURS

  • Part-time at 19 hours per week or
  • Full-time at 37.5 hours per week

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Corporate Alliances department including, but not limited to: reporting, data collection, marketing collateral distribution, and field communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Provide support in all aspects of Affinity Program Management including but not limited to:

  • Support team by conducting analytics and reporting results on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Gathering data and other information from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • In spreadsheet format, track Dignity Memorial location activity with various partners.
  • Assist in launching new and existing programs in various markets throughout the company.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Update and create the point of contact report for Dignity Memorial locations and various partners.
  • Strengthen the department’s internal and field relationship by coordinating the distribution of market promotional items and assisting with the direct mail activity.

EDUCATION

  • Junior or Senior, currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in business, arts, or sciences
  • Working towards a graduate degree is preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • One year of progressive experience in a corporate business environment
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience with Access and Excel

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Exceptional knowledge of MS Office; specifically Word, Access and Excel (pivot tables)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Creative, Innovative mindset with the ability to suggest new processes

Job description:

This position encompasses both sales AND customer service – we have strong relationships with each of our clients, and service does not end once we make a sale – it only begins. Must be able to not only sell policies, but service the clients’ needs so long as they are insured with our agency.

Duties include: checking alerts, following up with client memos, keeping databases up to date with client information, rating quotes, providing proposals to clients, following up to cross-sell business, managing phone calls, and working with various carriers and underwriters to obtain the best quotes.

 

Job requirements:

– Experience in sales required, but not necessarily insurance-related. Experience in an office environment preferred.

– If not licensed, must obtain Property & Casualty Insurance license within 3 weeks of start date.

– Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environment.

– Ability to provide emergency assistance and take detailed messages for agents and claims personnel as needed.

– Must be self-sufficient and willing to take initiative with contacting clients/companies to obtain information and ask questions.

– Must be able to speak with clients and carriers pleasantly on the phone and manage incoming phone calls.

– Must be very comfortable with computers and handling various emails, customer management systems, and carrier sites. Must know how to work with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications.

– Must be team-oriented and able to work with other agency employees.

– POSITIVE ATTITUDE REQUIRED! We are in the business of helping people.

– Must be eager to grow with the agency – opportunities for advancement are available.

 

Compensation:

– Salary range: $30,000-33,000 PLUS incentives/bonus awarded per quarter.

– Benefits: Health insurance through comprehensive Humana plan offered – partial contribution by owner.
