Shale Experts Sales Internship Job Description

Our fast-paced and busy online media company is looking for highly motivated sales interns to support its team. In this role the ideal candidates will possess a variety of skills including: excellent problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, prioritization and computer skills. Additionally, the candidate must be a self-starter who demonstrates a sense of urgency and initiative; be a true team player with a “do whatever it takes to get the job done” attitude; and be able to work effectively with diverse and demanding personalities in this sales-driven environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  •       Manage and grow customer relationships through outreach and lead conversions
  •       Create new ways to use existing database to add value to the customer experience and manage attrition
  •       Conduct internet and market research on potential sales leads
  •       Participate in sales meetings and presentations
  •       Effectively work with Customer Relationship Management software and manage database
  •       Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
  •       Qualify potential leads and be an integral part of the sales process
  •       Promote and market ShaleExperts.com via social media

Requirements:

Internship for Summer and during school year available

  • Minimum of  20 hours per week – Flexible time scheduling possible
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact effectively and professionally with management, clients, vendors over the phone and in person.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy. Performs all work thoroughly and diligently.
  • Strong project management skills, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency with MS Office including PowerPoint and Excel.  Proficiency with SalesForce a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry ideal but not a requirement
  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university

Compensation: $10-$15 per hour, pay commensurate with qualifications.  Our offices are located in the Houston Technology Center-Midtown Houston.
