This is the third in the series of Q & A sessions with Bauer alumni. Do you know of another alum we should meet? If so, please email me at aness@uh.edu. Thank you!

  1. What kind of work do you do now? As Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Retention for MFRM family of Brands I create and implement strategies for all talent acquisition activities for the largest specialty bedding retailer! I maintain the budget and forecasting efforts for the Talent Acquisition team, build and maintain staffing models, design and implement new processes and procedures and provide leadership to the Talent Acquisition team to ensure our hiring and staffing goals are met.
  2. What is the most rewarding part of your work? The most rewarding part is being able to make a huge impact in so many people’s lives. The talent acquisition team is the face of our organization and we have the great fortune to bring people into our work family. It is very rewarding to see those you help bring to the organization have very rewarding and successful careers.
  3. What is your favorite memory of your time at Bauer? I really enjoyed our trip to China. I also enjoyed all of my classmates. We became very close meeting up for study sessions over the weekends and celebrating once we completed a class at the “Den” on campus. The entire experience was a great one, so it is hard to pick one favorite memory!
  4. What advice would you give to other Bauer alumni? Seek out opportunities to expand your personal and professional network. Keep connected with professors and classmates and wear your Cougar Red with Pride!
